I am interested in the process from the first concept design to the final product. That is why I started studying Mechanical Engineering. During my study, I came across 3D printing. It is a very useful tool because it improves designs and production processes. It makes production more efficient because it saves time, you waste less material and minimises energy. This track provides the necessary background knowledge about materials and production methods to do this.

I am currently working on my graduation project on material deformation during 3D printing of electronics. In this project, I can combine my theoretical knowledge with experimental work to create working products, which I really enjoy. I design experiments, perform them, interpret the results and come up with explanations. As a result, there is a balance between working behind a desk and getting my hands "dirty" in the lab. It has given me the opportunity to work with new technology that is developing.

I'm not from Eindhoven. What appealed to me is that TU/e is relatively small compared to some other universities and felt open and welcoming. I feel at home. Besides studying, I enjoy playing water polo, and I took the opportunity to join a student team to further develop myself on both a professional and technical level. The proximity to companies and future career opportunities also made it an easy choice to stay.
