Jens Kat

My name is Jens Kat. I'm following the fusion master track and doing my master research project in this group. I got my bachelor degree in applied physics at the university of Groningen and decided to go to Eindhoven for fusion related courses.

My master's project is about the motional Stark effect (MSE) in tokamak plasmas. I research the ability of common (active and passive) MSE methods to resolve the magnetic fields present in tokamaks and I've build a novel MSE device, that combines best of both worlds, myself. The performance of this device will be tested at the TEXTOR tokamak in Juelich, Germany.
