Peter Rindt

Hello, my name is Peter Rindt. I joined the fusion master in 2012, after my bachelor in mechanical engineering and a year of working as a design engineer. I first heard about fusion in a short series of lectures about fusion by Prof. Lopes Cardozo (similar to the course Fusion on the back of an envelope).

I finally joined the program because for me it is important that nuclear fusion is an answer to one of the currently most important problems in the world. Also very important to me is that the program offers a mix between physics and engineering. Both play an important role in theoretical courses and hands-on activities. Finally, and maybe mostly, for me it is important that, although the excellent level, there is still enough flexibility and room to create time for hobbies, such as volleyball, or just friends (in which an occasional beer is still welcome!).
