Arnout Huisman

My name is Arnout Huisman and I’m currently working towards a double degree in Nuclear Fusion and Applied Physics. Initially my mind was set on 'just' a Master in Applied Physics, until I heard that the TU/e was now offering a rather exclusive Master in Nuclear Fusion – this opportunity was too good to let pass by!

As both fields supplement each other perfectly, I hope to be able to provide a strong contribution to one of the extremely complex scientific experiments ongoing in the fusion community.

At the moment I’m about to start my external internship at DIFFER, investigating the thermal shock response of Tungsten at ITER operating conditions, as simulated on the Magnum PSI device.
