Since the eraly years of my bachelor's degree in physics, I knew I wanted to join a big research community and help solving big challenges. Coupled with my enthusiasm about fusion energy, I knew the right path to take was to go for a PhD project. The field requires the integration of many different subdiscipline of physics such as: electromagnetism, classical mechanics, relativity, plasma physics, etc. That keeps both physicists and engineers busy everyday.

For my thesis topic, I study one of the most important and ubiquitious physics phenomena: turbulence. Whichis also recognised to limit the performance of fusion devices and particularly stellarators: the star makers!
