The Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) has launched an E-zine about the Dutch effort to achieve open access.

Universities work together to make scientific articles freely accessible to everybody. Great steps have already been taken toward 100% open access, and these have drawn wide international attention. Besides marking fifteen important milestones, the new publication explains what open access is, which is the role of publishers, how universities and publishers negotiate and what factors contribute to the success of the Dutch approach.
